With the initial launch of Microsoft’s Xbox live, the company came under a lot of criticism for the charges associated with the service. It didn’t help Microsoft’s cause any, when Sony decided to come along little bit later and offer pretty much the identical service for its PlayStation PS3 with no charge. The new Xbox experience, is Microsoft’s latest upgrade to this service, and the hope is that this will put the gears to Sony’s comparable service.

Anyone who’s spent a bit of time in the Xbox live system is likely to be pretty happy with the service. It’s pretty efficient and lag free. Most users are pretty impressed with the new options offered. You get to create your own avatar, much like the Miis in the Wii world.   It’s a pretty quick process if you know what you’re doing. Your avatar is what everyone else, including your friends will see representing you through the Xbox live system.

The new version of Xbox live makes interacting with others significantly better. Chatting in the sending of limitations has become a whole lot simpler. Is a simple process not to accept an invitation load up the desk and start playing. It’s gotten pretty simple to connect with your friends and family with the service.

You can also configure and install new games to Xbox hardware quite simply. Not all games take advantage of these features unfortunately. There are a couple of complaints about the destruction include Xbox 360.  One is the noise, and the second one is the proprietary nature of the disc.  Would the Sony PlayStation you can buy replacement disk at an electronics store for a reasonable price.  For the Microsoft Xbox, he you need to get the specific proprietary or Microsoft hard drive to upgrade.

The dashboard with the new Xbox live upgrade is impressive to say the least. It keeps your price of any new games or videos that may be of interest, and available for download. If you’re curious about the morning a few games, you’ll find those as well in the dashboard. If you’re a Netflix fan, or subscriber, you’ll enjoy that the Xbox 360 live experience allows for direct streaming of Netflix movies.  Which is pretty nice feature for only an additional $10 or so per month.

So even though Microsoft charges for their Xbox live experience for many it’s worth the price. It would be interesting to see, how it stacks up against Sony PlayStation’s Home social networking experiment. Personally, I’m to be betting on the Sony PlayStation 3 but I’ve been wrong before.

Sony’s PlayStation network to Microsoft’s Xbox live, have fueled more than just a couple flame wars between the fan boys and girls of its console. the biggest argument made in the flame wars for the PlayStation 3 crowd, centers around the fact that PlayStation network is free, and absent from a monthly charge. Know the Xbox live service is a paid service, but probably partially because it’s a paid service is also somewhat stronger and has more to offer at the time of this writing. For instance, not all PlayStation games offer more support. Sending invitations across game system from a possible for PlayStation network. A particularly annoying issue, is the use of multiple logins for different games. Station three online games are bad, it’s just that detail somewhat in comparison to the Xbox 3. There’s more than one critic in the crowd, who suggests it is part of the reason Sony goes above the counter charges customers for its online service.

Sony, being Sony obviously, is not going to sit still on this matter. Home, or social networking experiment in the gaming world of the PS3 is a dream to address this problem. Home is meant to be your own little personal space on the Sony PlayStation 3. A meeting ground to find other players, display trophies, and last two games together. Or even hoping to offer micro-transactions through the home service with no charge for a stripped-down basic functionality.

Home however suffers from a number of problems, the most significant one being repeated delivery of the software. There’s been more than one expert from the gaming crowd business experience frustration and impatience with the unrealized potential of home for the PS3. That most of them out there for awhile, but the final version is that to hit the shelves. Has been continued disappointment that will deliver that keeps getting pushed a few spokesmen have said from the gaming industry. But, when it finally does get here. It should do wonders for the PlayStation network. All the PS3 fans, and anxiously waiting

to say the PlayStation store was little bit of a disappointment in the early days to be an understatement. That’s not the case anymore. As Snyder sure to find downloadable games for both casual and hard-core players. Again, this is another service that still has yet to hit its peak when more and more games coming everyday. Suffice to say, the PlayStation store has cut up to Xbox live in terms of the quality of games available. Software driving store has also been given rehaul, lag times and inefficiencies are a thing of the past.

No maximum file size restriction is another big advantage Sony PlayStation store has over the Xbox 360 when it comes to online games. You’re for casual games, but for the hard-core gaming crowd. It’s a huge success. The big games like war hawk in grants for small and prologue are readily available for download to the PlayStation 3 store. Microsoft on the other hand the Senate to install proprietary hard drives into their Xbox machines and because of that, as someone restricted in the size of files they can make available. With the PlayStation 3, you can swap out your hard drive same as you could basically with your computer. Think Microsoft will blur from Apple’s mistakes, and not be overcharging you ridiculous amounts like hundred and $180 for hard drive replacements.

All the PlayStation store started off to would think, insipid start there’s no doubt it’s as good as or better than the overcharge the Xbox 360 online store is. And at the rate things are going, the gap between the two is only going to get bigger. The future holds some good things will sort of PlayStation 3, especially if they can catch up with the social requirements are gamers that are currently better off with Microsoft’s live service.
