Fun Restaurant Games

Diner Dash is a rather popular game, that involves running around a diner as a waitress, bringing food and grog to a wild assortment of patrons, while collecting money, washing dishes, and generally doing your best to keep everyone as happy as possible. There are been numerous clones and sequels to this popular game. I was looking at one the other day about a beauty salon. Where the idea is basically the same, whereas instead of feeding hungry patrons, your doing your best to keep up with the ever increasing influx of beauty salon and spa customers. But in reality, all these games are clones from the brain of an independent game designer I knew of a few years ago, when I hung around the group more frequently.
The game was called Bettys Beer Bar, and as you can imagine the idea is pretty much the same. You get all kinds of amusing customers coming into your bar looking for grog. You keep the happy, get lots of money, and basically improve your life. I think the game designers names was Gabriel, and he was on to a good thing. It was a great idea, but he didn’t have the marketing resources, and internet reach the makers of Diner Dash did, so he never gained quite the same popularity. Although, I do believe he came up with a sequel or two, and Bettys Beer Bar was successful in it’s own right.
