Sure why not, it’s not like you have anything better in mind for good party fun do you?  I mean, how long can you play Rock Band for anyway, before everyone gets tired of your lame singing, and decides that even Ringo Starr is a better drummer than you’ll ever be.  Party bingo is a sure way to avoid the personal embarassment of allowing the world, (at least your friends)  see how marginal your musical skills are.  Bingo is a low risk factor for any party, and can be lots of fun.  It doesn’t have to be the same version that your grandma plays with all her smoking buddies down at the local bingo hall, it could be something fun like human bingo.  You make up your own bingo cards with different people characteristics or accomplishments in each box.  Stuff like, “Who got drunk and kissed Bruce at last years company Halloween party?”.  Then you hand a card to everyone that shows up, and they have to find someone to match all the boxes on their cards.  The fun is only limited by your imagination, and maybe your intimate knowledge of everyones most embarassing moments.  At the very least it will get everyone talking, and at the most it may create a few scandals that will make for good topics on next years Christmas bingo party cards.  Have fun.

As much fun as a game as bingo is, it would get pretty dull if there was no variety to keep things interesting.  That’s something about any good game that keeps it interesting, and gives it a high re playability factor.  That’s a term often used for computer games, but if you look at any of the old classic games (no more how old school they may sound), what you will find is plenty of flexibility in game play.  Bingo is no different.  To start with, you have all the different types of pattern matching you can try.  For instance, you can have cover-all games, top and bottom, nine pack, eight states, X patterns, square patterns, “U” bingo, “T” bingo or outside borders.  While the mechanics, the goal is a little different for each win.  There are even more diverse forms of bingo, you can come up with, it really just depends on your imagination.  There’s one particular type of bingo called human bingo, that’s a great ice breaker, when you have a bunch of people together, that don’t really know each other.  Basically each square of the card if filled with different personal accomplishments, traits, or characteristics related to different people.   Everybody gets a card, and they have to mingle around the crowd, and try to find people that match the different squares of their card.  It’s quite an imaginative twist on the game of bingo, and obviously a great way to get people talking with one another

As corny as playing bingo may sound, who can honestly say they’ve never enjoyed a game of bingo.  It, doesn’t matter if it’s a game with the kids, a game with grandma, or just a game with the whole family on a rainy day at the cottage while on vacation.  It’s a classic, and it just doesn’t go out of style.  As with any game, that’s survived through the generations, there are many different versions, as ingenious bingo fans, and marketers have come up with new twists and turns of the game of bingo.  There are car sized versions of bingo, that are great for traveling with the family, and are sure to keep you entertained.  I was just watching one of my favorite movies the other day, “Micheal”.  You know, the one where John Travolta plays a angel (supposedly the arc angel Micheal), and spends some time on earth.  It’s quite a funny movie, and even Micheal enjoys playing a little car bingo.  Where you have to spot things you see for your bingo card, like trucks, cows, barns, farm tractors.  Whatever kind of things you can come up with.  It’s really quite fun.  For that kind of game, just a simple pad and pencil will do.  But if your a serious bingo geek, then you could equip yourself with lots of supplies, like bingo cages, bingo cards, shutter bingo cards, digital bingo flashboards,  extra bingo balls, colored bingo chips, and bingo dabbers.
