It seems a bit strange to be that only about 5,500 people a month are looking for used Wii games.  I mean, here we are in the middle of a recession, and hardly anyone is looking to get bargains on what many would considered non essential items.  I mean we really don’t need new Wii games to survive, but it appears that about 15,000 people are looking for new Wii games.  FYI, the 5,500, and 15,000 are coming from Googles AdWords tool. Buy comparison, “play racing games online” gets 2400 searches per month.

Well, I know we live in one of the most consumer driven disposable societies in all of recorded history.  But, you’d think we’d start to learn a lesson with all the climate change, mortgage foreclosures, and unemployed people running around.  While you make think that 5,500 is a lot of people, it’s not really when you consider, that over 8 million Wii consoles have been sold in the world.  When you put those 2 number together, it’s not really that many. Especially when you consider the number of wii bundle deals available.

I really do think, that as a culture we need to get over the notion, that just because something is used, or old, it’s not worthy of our attention.  Sure, shiny and new is nice, but is it really always necessary.  I mean, how many times are you going to play those Wii games that have been collecting dust in a drawer for a few months now.  Trade them with friends, or sell them over on eBay.  Give someone else a chance to make a greener choice, and buy used instead of new.  Basically reusing something, instead of wasting precious energy to make something new.  Having a go at Discount Wii Games is not a bad idea either. While at the same time, you can put a little money back into your own pocket.

Of course, I would hope you’d put that money to good use.  Maybe buying some used Wii games from another like minded individual trying to save the planet as well?  And hey, don’t let me talk you into stopping just at Wii games.  You can do the same thing with all that useless stuff you can’t seem to find a good use for.  Give someone else a chance, I’m sure they can help out.
